Abstract

1, 2, 3 benzotriazole derivative also show several pharmacological activities viz.example. Antimicrobial activity, Anti inflammatory, Anti analgesic activity, Anticancer etc. On the basis of our observation the parent research work was carried out to synthesize 1, 2, 3 triazole substituted 1, 3, 4 oxadiazoles and to further evaluate Analgesic activity. Synthesis of (ethyl 2- (1H Benzo [d] [1, 2, 3] triazole-1-yl] acetate) and (2H-benzo [d] [1,2,3] triazole-1-yl aceto hydrazine) along with their derivatives has been done. The entire synthesized compounds were characterized by UV, IR and ¹H-NMR specteoscopy. The Antimicrobial activity of the synthesized compounds was evaluated, on albino rats. The present investigation deals with the synthesized compounds possessing good Analgesic activity.

Abstract

Polygonatum verticillatum, Convallariaceae erect glabrous herb upto 20 cm. in height with thick ischolar_main stock. Upper part of the stem the leafy zig-zag grooved, leaves whorled sensible linear or lanceolate flowers 2-3 together, white, pinkish and white or pale green in whorled racemes fruits berries, red when ripe. Root stock is sweet, cooling, Emollient, Diuretic aphrodisiac, galactogogue, appetizing, tonic. It is useful in vitiated condition of pitas and vat, burning sensation fever, stongury, seminal weakness, anorexia and general debility. The author have done some work and isolated few higher fatty acids from the rhizome of this plant.

Abstract

A new series of NSAID’S in which aspirin is joined by ester linkage to pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid were synthesized and tested for anti-platelet activity. Related propyl esters of aspirin and aspirin as such were taken as references. All the compounds described here show anti-platelet activity but they do not behave as prodrugs of aspirin in blood serum.

Abstract

Synthesis of (ethyl 2-(1H Benzo [d] [1, 2, 3] triazole-1-yl] acetate) and (2H-benzo [d] [1, 2, 3] triazole -1-yl aceto hydrazine) along with their derivatives has been done. The entire synthesized compounds were characterized by UV, IR and ¹H-NMR spectroscopy. The Antimicrobial activity of the synthesized compounds was evaluated, on Streptococcus aureus and Esteria coli. The present investigation deals with the synthesized compounds possessing good antimicrobial activity.

Abstract

High altitude herbs were used as herbal perfume and used incense in the folk of Himalayan region. From aerial part of the plants the alcohols and higher ester of fatty acids were isolated and identified. It is used in the manufacture of metallic stearates, pharmaceuticals, soaps, cosmetics, and food packaging. It is also used as a softener, fragrance.

Abstract

In this study, field-based bathymetry of Neenkanth lake in the Lahaul Himalaya, India, was carried out. Volume estimation and calculation of peak discharge, and the results thus obtained have been compared with empirically derived values. Average morphological characteristics of this lake are the depth of 5.78 m, area of 22,925.80 m² and volume of 132,511.12 m³. The quantitative glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) characteristics derived from the empirical models were found to be much higher than the measured values of the lake. A qualitative approach was adopted to determine dam breach assessment indicators, viz. dam type, dam geometry, height of the freeboard, etc. GLOF potential was found to be high considering majority of qualitative parameters; however, field measurements indicate a low risk.
